Meanwhile, Ms. Lucy Rowe came to visit BPKMCH in 2012 as an observer/volunteer. She became involved in our Neurosurgical CNE program and we felt she is a good nursing educator! Together, we planned for a future program involving the concept of a “Nursing Preceptorship Program”. Finally, we succeeded to make our dream a reality. In November 2013, BPKMCH started preceptorship training through the NURSE TEACH REACH (NTR) program. I want to congratulate Ms. Lucy Rowe, the Coordinator and Founder of NURSE TEACH REACH from the BPKMCH nursing team as well nursing in-service team. This is a new and golden idea that reaches to nurses from resource poor countries for teaching purposes and aims to upgrade their clinical skills for improved quality of nursing care.
This program is helping the nurses in various ways to develop their education. NURSE TEACH REACH also donated a new Laptop, LCD Projector and resource books to the Nursing Department of BPKMCH to run the continue nursing education and nursing preceptorship program. We want to give thanks for providing support.
Similarly, NURSE TEACH REACH also helped me individually: I received financial support from NURSE TEACH REACH during a recent trip to Canada. I went to Canada to attend a Palliative Care Course/Workshop. This support made me feel of secure and comfortable during my travels as well as in my stay during the course. I am very grateful with NURSE TEACH REACH and would like to thanks once again to Lucy Rowe.
I am wishing the success of NURSE TEACH REACH program and spread this program all over the world. Thanks Lucy and your Nurse Teach Reach team for your hard work and helping attitude.
